On Sunday, September 18 The Mental Health & Addiction Association of Oregon hosted The ‘Recovery is Beautiful’ event at The Summit Salon Academy PDX in Tigard. Nine of Summit’s awesome students along with their instructor donated their time and talent to make over more than two dozen wonderful people! This event was put together in an effort to help people look and feel their best on their recovery journey. The attendees were offered a haircut, color and styling for all hair types and gender identities. Part of the make over included a professional clothing stylist which aided the attendees in choosing just the right professional outfit that they got to take home along with a bag full of goodies, makeup from MAC, self-care and wellness products. What a successful day!
